The Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) has bagged the Best CMC Practice Award for its initiative \u201cImproved financial and Energy efficiency in Water Supply\u201d at a function organised by the Department of Urban Development, Directorate of Municipal Administration and City Managers\u2019 Association, Karnataka, at the Vikasa Soudha in Bengaluru recently.<\/p>\n
A release here said the award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development and Qamarul Islam, Minister for Municipal Administration, Public Enterprises, Minorities Welfare, Haj and Wakf, gave away the award. P. Yuvaraj, president of Udupi CMC, received the award on behalf of the council.<\/p>\n
