Diabetacare launches first centre in Mysore

Mysore :

Diabetacare, India’s largest specialised diabetes management organisation, recently launched its first centre in Mysore in partnership with Columbia Asia Hospital.

State Sangeeta Vidwan awardee Dr. R. Sathyanarayana inaugurated the centre at Columbia Asia hospital here.

This facility has been set up to provide clinically focussed technology-enabled management for diabetes patients with an aim to either delay or prevent complications such as Diabetes Eye disease leading to blindness, Diabetes Kidney damage requiring lifelong Dialysis and Foot complications because of uncontrolled sugars leading to leg ulcers and amputation.

Diabetacare is offering full set of comprehensive screening, consultations and monitoring at the centre. This includes first-to-market service, 24×7 remote dcare monitoring which enables disciplined self-management of diabetes with the help of a team of nutritionists, endocrinologists, diabetes educators and family members.

During the launch, Dr. Sathyanarayana said, “Most of the Indians are not aware that they are suffering from diabetes. This shows that there is an urgent need to create awareness on diabetes. This can be done only through specialised centres like Diabetacare, which can enable in creating the required awareness along with efficient management of the disease. I appreciate this initiative taken by Diabetacare to provide diabetes management and help put an end to sufferings for thousands.”

Dr. Viju Rajan, General Manager of Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysore said, “With India being the diabetes capital of the world, early and efficient diagnosis and management of the disease is the need of the hour.”
